Northampton Saints captain Budge Pountney will miss next Saturday's Six Nations game between Scotland and Italy. The flanker missed last Saturday's league game against Sale Sharks after he suffered an abdominal tear in Scotland's defeat to England. The SRU has stated Pountney will be out for two weeks, which could put in jeopardy his input into Saints' match against Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on February 23. His place in the Scotland squad has been fulfilled by Andrew Mower. Bryan Redpath, (of Sale Sharks, will now captain the Scotland side. Redpath has led Scotland on three previous occasions in cap internationals. He said: "Having been through my share of injuries over the years I wish Budge a quick recovery. It's always an honour to play for your country and to be asked to captain the side is doubly so. Now all my energies are devoted to ensuring a Scotland win on Saturday."
