Northampton Saints' commercial department scooped the Club of the Year award at last night's Premier Rugby marketing awards dinner at Twickenham. Saints were short-listed for six out of seven of last night's awards - the most of any of the 12 clubs in the Zurich Premiership. The commercial team were in the running for best programme, best website, best community programme, best promotional initiative, best mascot, and best match day experience, as well as the evening's biggest prize - best club. The club collected the award for the best match day experience before collecting Club of the Year at the end of the night. Northampton Saints' commercial director Allan Robson said: "This award is a reflection of how hard all our staff have worked throughout the year. Being a professional rugby club is not just about the 14 home games we host each season, it's also about bringing rugby to our community, entertainment, provision of facilities, and making sure people have a good time when they come to Franklin's Gardens." This was the second marketing awards ceremony held by Premier Rugby. Last year's club of the year award was won by NEC Harlequins.
