Saints Search For Key Team Members
Northampton Saints are looking to recruit new members of the match day team at Franklin's Gardens - safety stewards.

The dedicated squad of match day stewards plays a vital role in making sure the record crowds at the Gardens enjoy the whole match day experience in comfort and safety.

Stewards need common sense, tact and diplomacy to carry out their duties. Experience is not necessary, as full training will be given, and that training can be continued at the club's expense to gain an NVQ qualification.

Andrew Street, temporary stadium manager at Northampton Saints, said: "We are very proud of our stewards at Franklin's Gardens, they play an essential role and really are part of the club.

"Their professionalism and skills played a big part in our winning a national award for the best match day experience in rugby, and we want to build on that success with new members of the team."

An interest in rugby is not necessary, as stewards get very little time to watch any of the game while they are working.

Two open evenings will be held at 7.30pm in Heroes Bar at Franklin's Gardens on Tuesday 5 August and Thursday 14 August. Anyone who is interested in applying but who is unable to attend either evening can obtain an information pack by writing to:
