Rumours have reached the press that Northampton Saints coach Wayne Smith has been offered a job with the All Blacks by Graham Henry.
The club's official statement on these rumours is as follows:
John Steele, operations director, said: "It is common knowledge that there is a restructuring of the All Black coaching set-up under Graham Henry. We understand that a number of candidates have been spoken to, however Wayne has made it clear that he is committed to Northampton Saints until the end of the season.
"When decision are being made as to what happens beyond this point, the players and supporters will be the first to know what these are." |
