Reihana out of Toulouse clash and Smith sidelined for another six weeks
Reihana out of action with a hamstring strain
Northampton Saints' star full-back Bruce Reihana has pulled out of tomorrow's clash with the kings of Europe, Toulouse, with a hamstring strain. However, the former All Black should be fit for the return encounter next weekend.
Northampton Saints’ full-back Bruce Reihana will miss tomorrow’s Heineken Cup pool three game against Toulouse after failing a fitness test on a pulled hamstring.

The former All Black suffered the injury in training on Tuesday and was unable to shake it off before his test today. He should be fit for the return leg of the Toulouse back-to-back fortnight of Heineken Cup matches next weekend.

Jon Clarke will take Reihana’s place at full-back with Wylie Human moving to the No 11 position and John Rudd taking his place on the opposite wing.

Tom Smith also had an exploratory operation this week on his knee. He will return to training next month and is hoping to be fit for the quarter-final stage of the Powergen Cup.

Prop Robbie Kempson saw a specialist this week regarding his neck and back injuries and has been told to rest for the next six to eight weeks. James Ross is also suffering from a back injury and will hopefully return to training next month, leaving Saints with just three fit props.

On a happier note, centre Mark Tucker will be available for selection next week and Chris Hyndman will be available for the Powergen Cup sixth round clash with Bedford.
