Season ticket holders have until the close of business tomorrow to ensure they make the most of the £2 discount on all ticket prices and lay claim to their usual seats for what will be a real battle against a side full of former Saints players.

All the season ticket holders’ seats that are not taken up by the end of tomorrow will go on general sale on Thursday morning – also at a favourable pre-Christmas rate.

Bedford Blues have ordered an initial batch of 2,000 tickets and are enjoying bumper sales for this sixth round Powergen Cup tie, which will be played at the earlier kick-off time of 2pm on Saturday, December 18, 2004.

Among the ex-Saints players that will be hoping to be selected to return to Franklin’s Gardens are Matt Stewart, Ali Hepher, Dom Malone, Ian Vass, Matt Volland, Matt Allen, Craig Moir, Chris Johnson and Jon Phillips, who made 322 appearances in a black, green and gold jersey.

A win for either side would mean a place in the quarter-final of the competition – the first of two games before a possible place in the final at Twickenham.
