| All 22 of Northampton Saints' playing shirts will be donated to raffle after tomorrow's game against Leeds Tykes to raise money for the Tsunami Earthwake Appeal.
Each shirt will be signed by the player wearing it for the raffle which will be drawn next week.
Tickets will be sold by a number of the players' wives and partners from 1.30pm tomorrow and during half-time. They will be carrying a bucket each marked "Tsunami Earthquake Appeal" and will wander around all the bars and the village and ticket office areas.
Head coach Budge Pountney said: "We really wanted to do something to help and Ben Cohen came up with the idea regarding the shirts. If every ticket is sold tomorrow, we could send £12,000 to the fund."
There are 6,000 tickets available and a minimum donation of £2 is required for each one. Supporters are welcome to buy more than one though.
The numbers and colours of the tickets drawn out of the hat wll be announced on Tuesday on this website and in the Glasgow match day programme on Friday, January 14, 2005.
The club will hopefully announce the amount raised at full-time tomorrow. |
