| The 26-year has also played for Ireland U19s, U21s and for the A side but has decided to give Premiership rugby a go and will join Marc Stcherbina, Andy Vilk and Neil Starling to compete for a place in the starting line-up at centre.
Quinlan has some experience of Premiership sides following encounters against Bath Rugby, Sale Sharks and Bristol Shoguns in the Heineken Cup during his time with Leinster.
Head coach Budge Pountney said: “We have been lucky enough to secure the services of David, who has just recently been selected for the Ireland squad to tour Japan. We are relishing working alongside him and developing our team with him in it. He brings strength and size with the ability to use his feet very well which will go down well in the Guinness Premiership.”
Off the field, Quinlan is an educated man with a law degree from University College Dublin and a masters in criminology from Cambridge University. He also played in the varsity match against Oxford while at Cambridge.
