England Sevens coach Mike Friday was disappointed by the loss at Twickenham but is looking forward to finishing the season on a high in France.
"Everyone is bitterly disappointed to have come so close to retaining our Twickenham title but I am pleased with our overall performance at Twickenham. It was great experience for the players, especially the youngsters who hadn't pulled an England jersey on at Twickenham before, to play in such of such a big and enthusiastic crowd, and to face such challenging opposition.
"Having started the season off with a win in Dubai, England are aiming to do the same this weekend and win in Paris. I am pleased that Andy and Delon both get a chance to play, having been part of the wider squad for London, and congratulate Rob Vickerman on earning his first England Sevens cap.
