Wally steps up to the mic for live broadcast

Northampton Saints' club captain Steve Thompson will play his part during tomorrow's derby against Leicester Tigers by helping BBC Radio Northampton's commentary team with the station's broadcast and the live beam-back being shown at Franklin's Gardens thanks to the kind permission of Sky.

The England and Lions hooker will be BBC Radio Northampton's summariser for the afternoon to bring to life the game for radio listeners and to add further colour to the supporters watching the game from the Tetley's Stand tomorrow afternoon.

More than 2,000 people are expected for the live broadcast. The Rodber Suite and Captains' Bar will be open from 1.30pm and the broadcast will begin at 2.30pm.

Any remaining tickets will be available from the turnstiles opposite the ticket office on the day and car parking will be available for the first 170 cars only in the VIP car park.

The Ross Road car park and entrance is out of bounds due to the building work currently taking place at Franklin's Gardens to extend the South Stand.
