The rest of the new signings will also be on duty carrying out pre-match community coaching and corporate hospitality duties, so they will also witness the Franklin‘s atmosphere at first hand.
Not to be left out, Percival, who suffered a neck fracture in Saints’ warm-up game against Munster, will be there to urge the team on.
Director of rugby Budge Pountney said: “James has been recovering well from his operation and has begun rehabilitation in the pool. We are delighted he will be with us on Saturday. James is still very much a part of our squad and it is only right he should be there for our first home game. We look forward to seeing him in action on the Franklin’s Gardens pitch in the not too distant future.”
The Franklin’s atmosphere will further be boosted by the free flags that will be handed out at all the turnstiles to help create a sea of black, green and gold.
The players’ pre-match preparation will also be aided by playing the music they have all chosen to inspire them for the task ahead. This music will be followed by Vangelis’s “Conquest of Paradise” which the players have requested to run out to.
Pountney added: “All the music that we will play ahead of tomorrow’s game has been chosen by all our players as music that fires them up, and that includes the run-out music. We hope that the music, coupled with the arousing cacophony that is always produced by our supporters, will make Franklin’s Gardens an even better place to play rugby.” |
