He said today: “The sooner you get back into your job and get back to training hard is probably the best thing. It has been great to get back into training and back into camp with the guys.
“I have done all the grieving I need to do and it has been great to know people are there for me, but it’s about taking it in and moving forward.
“The club were exceptional. They booked my flight home for me and there was no questions asked. They were just outstanding.”
He added: “Saturday will be a bit emotional especially as I have been out for a couple of weeks but I am very excited about getting back onto the field. It’s always nice to get back out there in front of the fans. It’s a huge game and I will need to lead by example.”
However, Reihana will have one less worry when he starts the game on the wing on Saturday. The kicking responsibility has been handed to James Pritchard, who will be making his first Saints start after he made his debut against London Irish.
Reihana said: “Pritch is a very good kicker and with me coming back, I may be a little bit rusty. It will be good to see him out there.”
Head coach Paul Grayson said: “James has improved his track record and he is a quality performer in that area. He has done well in training and as a result gets in the team and adds another dimension for us. We just want Bruce to come back and enjoy playing.”
Saints’ team will be announced tomorrow.
