Who are Northampton Saints' Greatest Ever?
Will Dickie Jeeps get your vote as Saints' greatest ever scrum-half?
On Saturday, May 27, the club and its supporters will honour the Greatest Ever players to wear the Northampton Saints colours at a major entertainment event here, at Franklin's Gardens. Between now and the 27th you will have the opportunity to vote for your favourite players and the players who you believe should be nominated in the Northampton Saints Greatest Ever team.

The process is simple. Next week, a nomination committee lead by board member Murray Holmes will select between 45 and 50 players who will be put forward for the public vote. During the next eight weeks, those players will be profiled in the media and you will have the opportunity to read and remember their stories.

Was Edgar Mobbs a more influential captain than Tim Rodber? Was Dickie Jeeps a better scrum half than Matt Dawson? Which two props would you want standing by your side from Ron Jacobs, Piggy Powell, Gary Pearce and Garry Pagel? All of them Northampton legends, but who is the Greatest Ever?

Not everyone will remember or have seen the players in action. But they are all very much part of our history and through the media we can relive and celebrate their contribution to the Saints and to rugby in general.

More than 70 Northampton players have gone on to represent their countries; 17 of them have been British Lions. We have a 125-year history that is second to none and we have more than our fair share of heroes. Each week the nominations for positions in the Greatest Ever team will be released and the fans will have the opportunity to debate and vote for their favourites.

On May 27 the Greatest Ever players and team will be unveiled at our Night of Stars here at Franklin's Gardens. The Northampton Saints Greatest Ever is a celebration of our magnificent history and will capture the pride and passion of what it means to be a Northampton Saint, whether you are a current player, a past player or a fan of the club.

Keep your eyes open for more information on our website and in the local media as we build towards our Greatest Ever Night of Stars. Join the debate and have your say. Bore your friends at work, in the pub and here at Franklin's Gardens with fascinating facts about the Saints. Make sure you are here to honour our legends on the 27th and celebrate our Greatest Ever at what promises to be one of the Greatest Ever rugby party nights in our long history.
