Scotland back-row Ross Beattie has left Northampton Saints as of today. Beattie has only made one appearance for the club this year since competition for back-row positions intensified following the arrival of Ben Lewitt, Paul Tupai and Sam Harding, and the earlier than expected development of Academy No 8s Mark Easter and Mark Hopley.
Director of rugby Budge Pountney said: “We would like to thank Ross for his efforts in what has been a tough season for him but he has held his head high and been an important member of the squad. We wish him all the best in the future.”
