| We play the most important game of the season tonight regardless of the league and where we are and where our opponents are in it. This is the local derby we all love. This is the one team we love to beat, which is the same for the Tiger fans. Leicester come here after a weekend off so they should be feeling very fresh. This will have benefited a good deal of their players as they will have needed the rest after the Six Nations. They are a complete side who know how to win wherever they are and whoever they face and they will be great opponents to play and to measure ourselves against. The feeling within the camp has been one of mixed emotions after the Bath game: excitement and achievement because of the win bur also disappointment because the team did not put Bath away as convincingly as they could have done. But I think at this stage of the season, we will take the win as it shows the continued development of this Saints team as it strives to move forward. On a lighter note, we have a rule of punishment for any latecomers to any meetings and that can involve anything! Lennie, unfortunately, was late for one of his own meetings and a spot of whale watching was partaken by all playing and management at the back of the South Stand last week, and by the looks of it, it was very cold! This game is huge and as of every game, your role is massive. The development of the Jimmes chant is great and is noticed by the players especially in times of long periods of defence and long periods of attack. Please keep your support as vocal as you can. There are three very important games ahead of us and you. Come on you Jimmies. |
