The closure will allow the club to offer a better service in its rapidly expanding on-line store.

Saints marketing manager Brian Facer said: “With the continuing development of Northampton town centre restricting access to Peacock Place we have decided to concentrate on developing the Saints club shop at Franklin’s Gardens and enhance our on-line sales facility.

“In the near future we will be offering reduced packaging rates, next-day delivery and a full range of merchandise across our on-line store.”
