As well as handing out the prizes to the Player of the Season and the most improved players in each age group, Steve also opened Torkington Field, the site of Bury St Edmunds RFC's new mini rugby pitches.

Steve gave out medals to every player, posed for photos with every age group and took part in a question and answer session.

"It was an extraordinary day," said Kevin Monk of Bury St Edmunds RFC. "Steve is an icon to many of the boys and to have a World Cup winner at our club was a wonderful end to our season."
