Cohen and Reihana nominated for Guinness Premiership awards

Cohen celebrates his superb try against Harlequins
Ben Cohen and Bruce Reihana have both been named in the GUINNESS PREMIERSHIP awards nominees list announced today. The awards will be handed out on Wednesday, May 9.

Cohen, who recently committed his future to the Saints, is on the short list for MBNA Try of the Season for his 60-metre effort against Harlequins at Franklin's Gardens. Meanwhile club captain Reihana is up for the Gillette Power Award.

The panel consisted of Andrew Baldock (Press Association), Mick Cleary (Daily Telegraph), Miles Harrison (SKY Sports), Alastair Hignell (BBC), Stephen Jones (The Sunday Times), Barry Newcombe (UK Media Sport), Dave Rogers (Getty Images) and Phil Winstanley, Rugby Manager at Premier Rugby.

Elsewhere Saints today announced that the club will be withdrawing its appeal - due to be heard on Thursday - against the six-month ban imposed by an RFU Disciplinary Panel on Dylan Hartley. He will not be able to play until October 17, 2007. And John Brooks has signed a two-year contract with Harlequins.
