It will be only the third time in their history that the Saints will have faced an international side and the first time that they will be facing a Samoan side, which will be in the middle of their preparations for the autumn’s Rugby World Cup.
It is a rare chance to see players who will feature in the World Cup at Franklin’s Gardens.
At 3pm the following Saturday – August 25th – Saints will host Harlequins, who finished seventh in the Guinness Premiership last season. This game will then be followed on by the Wanderers taking on Cambridge RFC, KO 4.45 pm.
