The Crooked Hooker has been a long-time supporter of the playing department, particularly in the funding of equipment. Last season they took this a step further by helping to sponsor centre Grant Anderson - one of the intake into this season's Senior Academy - to help with the transition from education into full-time rugby.

"Without the support of the Crooked Hooker Grant wouldn't have made the gains he has over the past year," said Senior Academy coach Rob Hunter. "The link is also a good reminder to the youngsters of the club's heritage and the responsibility that comes with wearing the jersey.

"All of us in the Academy are very grateful to the Crooked Hooker and look forward to continuing the relationship over the coming seasons."
