Bedford Blues’ recent announcement that Saints’ visit to Goldington Road on Saturday, September 22nd will be an all-ticket match has highlighted the potential of many of this season’s trips to provide record attendances for many of the other National League One clubs.
Already many supporters have expressed an interest in visiting new grounds this season and Northampton Saints has been in negotiation with the other National League 1 clubs to secure sufficient allocations of tickets to meet this demand.
“Interest is already high for our away games and the club wants to ensure that as many fans as possible have the opportunity to see Saints on their travels this season,” said Saints chief executive Allan Robson. “We’ve been working hard to secure allocations of tickets to sell through our ticket office. This has two benefits. Firstly, it makes the process of buying tickets for Saints fans easier and guaranteeing a concentrated area of travelling support. Secondly, it helps the host club earn money from tickets sales without being overwhelmed by demand.”
Priority booking for away tickets will be given to ‘Pledge’ season ticket holders. From Monday, July 2nd ‘Pledge’ season ticket holders will have the option to order tickets for all Saints’ away National League One matches throughout the 2007/08 season.
These priority booking forms will be sent out in the ‘Pledge’ season ticket packs but they can also be ordered by email by clicking here. Forms will be available from the Saints Ticket Office in person or over the phone (tel: 01604 581000). Please note that away tickets cannot be booked via the Saints website and that your membership number will be required when ordering a booking form.
Away tickets ordered by ‘Pledge’ season ticket holders will be sent out or available for collection – specified at the time of booking – four weeks in advance of each game, when money will be debited from your account.
‘Standard’ season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets four weeks in advance of each away game with remaining tickets going on general sale one week later. First Division Rugby rules require that any unsold tickets are returned to the host club a fortnight ahead of the match.
The club will also be running coaches to each game (subject to demand). More information will be available from the Saints Ticket Office from Monday, July 2nd.
Tickets for all home matches will be available for purchase from Monday, July 30th.
