Saints’ loyal supporters will have the opportunity to meet their heroes on Sunday, August 12th when the club throws open its doors for the annual Open Day at Franklin’s Gardens.

Highlights of the day include a unique match-intensity training session (refereed by Ashley Rowden) that will give supporters their first chance to see the 2007/08 squad in action; Tag Rugby matches in which fans can play with and chat to members of the squad; question and answer sessions with director of rugby Jim Mallinder and forwards coach Dorian West and the Saints Academy staff in the Rodber Suite; autograph sessions with the players; and, as ever, fans will be able to go behind the scenes and see what makes Franklin’s Gardens one of the best dedicated rugby facilities in Europe.

Gates open at 9:30am with the players starting to warm up at 9:45am. This will be followed by the training session. The Open Day will run until 1:30pm with the ground closing at 2pm. Entry is free and all are welcome.

Food and drink outlets will be open, as will the Saints Rugby Store and Ticket Office. Bernie’s Gang members can collect their 2007/08 membership packs and supporters can have their photo taken with the Heineken European Cup.

The Open Day is one of the highlights in the Saints’ calendar and thousands of supporters of all ages descend on Franklin’s Gardens to enjoy some pre-season fun with the squad.
