It is the second year that the Saints have joined forces with the British Army in providing a residential course at the barracks and over 60 boys aged between 13 and 17 received rugby coaching from the Saints Academy staff, the British Army, Saints' community coaches and Saints squad members Robbie Kydd, Dylan Hartley, Joe Ansbro and Neil Starling.
All of the boys and community coaches were also put through their paces by the army in a series of challenges including orienteering and various leadership and character-building exercises.
"The British Army has once again provided us with a fantastic facility at Bassingbourn," said Saints Community Coach Ross Stewart. "All of the boys responded well to the challenges they were given, which often are different from anything they've experienced before. They also learned a lot on the rugby pitch as well and having the guys from the Saints squad and the Saints Academy helped build on the hard work put in through the week by the team of coaches from the club and the army."
