The Cornish Pirates have been playing at the Camborne Recreation Ground for several seasons and their record of only one home defeat last season demonstrates that they have settled in quickly.
With over 5,000 tickets sold already the Rec is heading for a full house and with Cornwall renowned as a hotbed of passionate support the thousand-strong throng of travelling Saints will have to have their best collective voice.
The bus departs from Franklins Gardens at 8.00am and will drop passengers, within reason, at their chosen destination. The coach will then meet supporters at the stadium before the match (supporters will have to find their own way from their accommodation to the stadium) so they can deposit their luggage and depart after the final whistle for the long trek home. A member of the Saints staff will be on hand to make sure that the journey runs smoothly.
As Camborne and Redruth are at the heart of Cornwall’s old mining industry hotel space is at a premium.
The Pirates’ hotel partner is The Penventon Hotel in Redruth, which is close to Camborne (Redruth and Camborne merge and aren’t big towns): http://www.penventon.co.uk/ At the time of writing the Penventon have 4 garden suites left for Saturday night, but are largely free on Sunday night.
In Camborne, the host club are looking to develop links with the Tyacks Hotel: http://www.tyackshotel.co.uk/ Dinner, bed and breakfast @ £55.00 per person Bed & breakfast @ £40.00 per person Say that you’re an away supporter going to the Pirates to claim these prices.
However, West Cornwall has lots of accommodation that is not full due to the summer holidays just finishing. Towns within easy reach of Camborne include: St Ives - Approx 30 minutes on train. Tregenna Castle (http://www.tregenna-castle.co.uk/) is a larger hotel Truro - Approx 20 minutes on train. Lots of city centre hotels. Truro is a small city (only 30000 people), and is more cosmopolitan than Cornwall generally.
If you are coming down, can all Saints supporters help the Cornish Pirates by mentioning that you are coming for the rugby when you book a hotel. It might get them a discount.
Also, there are more traditional tourist spots of Newquay, Perranporth and many other places, all of which aren’t too far away, but they wont have the rugby feel of Penzance.
Camborne Train Station is approx 5 minutes walk from the ground, and is a good way to get there.
Penzance is approx 30 minutes away by train. There are also supporters’ coaches being run by The Press Gang from Penzance and Newlyn’s old ground on Alexandra Road, Penzance. Call Tony Green for more information - 01736 810231. Mounts Bay Coaches also run services (£5) – Tel: 01736 363320.

In addition, England vs USA is being shown on Saturday night in the Penzance clubhouse from 5pm, with lots of Saints Supporters already coming down. Pasties will be plentiful, as will cheap beer and a live band!

For the safety & comfort of fans, no glass, bottles etc can be brought into the ground. The stand is also no smoking area. There is parking for 250+ at the ground and 200 spaces in the schools car park off Cranberry Road. Parking is only £2, with helpful stewards to give direction and advice.
