Due to re-seeding and preparing our pitches for a return to the Guinness Premiership, we have had to look elsewhere for a venue for this summer’s touch league. B.B.O.B is the closest club to Saints and we have chosen to use their facilities which are in a great condition to host the league. Alongside its central location, B.B.O.B also has a fantastic set-up and has produced many local talents including current Saints star Paul Diggin.

BBQ’s and music have also been arranged to add to arguably the most lively and successful local rugby club bar in the region. This should create the perfect summer party atmosphere to either play in or watch 10 weeks of Touch Rugby!

The league will begin on Monday 9th June, with games taking place between 7 and 9pm, and will continue every Monday night for 10 weeks through to the final week on 11th August. The winners will then represent Northampton Saints RFC at Twickenham as part of the Middlesex 7’s weekend.

We have already had a number of teams sign up to the league and confirm their place in what is expected to be a great event in the summer when rugby is normally missing from the weekly diary.

Squad size is unlimited, with rolling subs allowed and the league is open to all skill levels and both men and women over the age of 16.

To enter a team, all you need to do is email rowlandwinter@northamptonsaints.co.uk with the following details:
- A team name
- A main contact name, email and telephone number

The cost to enter a team is £200, with an initial £50 non-refundable deposit needed to guarantee your place in the league before May 9th 2008. The remaining £150 can be paid when you arrive at the sign in/registration point on June 9th when the league begins.

Please send your £50 non-refundable deposit to:  Touch Rugby, Community Department, Northampton Saints, Franklins Gardens, Weedon Road, Northampton, NN5 5BG. All cheques should be made out to ‘NRFC’, and please include a contact name or team name with the deposit.

We will then contact all the teams involved in the league with arrangements and details regarding the schedule of the first games on the 9th June.
