Since the summer of 2012 the Saints Study Centre has been funded and run by the club in conjunction with Official Partner NETGEAR. Now a dedicated department at Franklin's Gardens, the Study Centre will continue to raise standards in ICT, literacy and numeracy amongst school children in the area.
The exciting environment of Franklin's Gardens is used to help boost the self-esteem and confidence of the youngsters, who enjoy stadium tours and coaching as part of the scheme. Two full-time staff - Pete Austen and Jeanette Campkin - run the centre's activities, with help from a number of volunteers and mentors from local schools and colleges.
At the centre, children explore and experience the latest PC and Apple technology in a flexible and independent way using wireless connectivity, broadband technology and 'RM Community Connect' software. Children can access high quality learning resources within the centre, at home and in the school environment. Learning opportunities extend beyond the walls of the Study Centre at Franklin's Gardens with children using notebooks, tablet PCs and digital technology on a remote network in the stadium.
Official Partner of the Saints Study Centre, NETGEAR has been a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products since 1996. The NETGEAR mission is to be the preferred customer-driven provider of innovative networking solutions for small businesses and homes.
Efficiency, Innovation, Presence, Quality.
