Academy News Mixed weekend for loan Saints
While Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi tasted victory on his first outing of the season for Coventry, a further trio of dual registered Saints had a tough time of it with Moseley over the weekend.
Academy scrum-half Alex Day and props Tom Warren and Adam Parkins all came from the bench at Billesley Common, but were powerless to prevent Mose from slipping to a second defeat of the season against Rotherham – the Titans adding a 47-21 romp to their Round 1 victory in the Championship when the two sides met.
Saturday afternoon was a more enjoyable one for Hobbs-Awoyemi, however, the England Under-20 prop starting and playing almost an hour at of Coventry’s impressive 32-15 defeat of Henley at the Butts Park Arena.
Day and Warren both doubled up on their action, turning out for the Wanderers yesterday evening in the home win over Newcastle.
