Club News Traffic management in place after Saints v Saracens
Northampton Saints has announced that the club will be reintroducing its traffic management scheme after Saturday’s Aviva Premiership game against Saracens.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 3:15pm, a time chosen by BT Sport for its live broadcast. And with Northampton Town bringing their own kick off time against Cheltenham forward to 2pm the Saints has been able to book the same traffic management scheme which was received well by supporters last season.
Starting once the majority o the NTFC car parks have cleared (expected to be at around 4:30pm), Edgar Mobbs Way will be turned into a one-way dual carriageway between the Saints’ Car Park D and TGI Fridays at Sixfields.
Meanwhile temporary traffic lights will regulate the flow of traffic down Upton Way in order to allow for a steady flow of cars out from the Saints car parks. During the period of traffic management access into Sixfields will be restricted to the entry point by TGI Fridays.
The Saints’ traffic management scheme, which is fully funded by the club and run by an independent company, is designed to clear rugby-related vehicles away from the area so traffic flows can return to normal as quickly as possible.
The Saints’ car parks will be open from 12noon ahead of the day’s game. The Claret Car Park will also be open under the management of Northampton Borough Council.
