Rugby News Wanderers’ Gloucester clash postponed
This evening’s Aviva ‘A’ League clash with Gloucester has been postponed after severe overnight weather flooded the South Stand lake at Franklin’s Gardens. (Monday, October 28th)
With the lake acting as the drainage pool for the main pitch, heavy rain has caused an overflow and there is now nowhere for excess water to go.
The Saints will make a further announcement as soon as a re-arranged date is known for the final ‘A’ League clash with the Cherry and Whites, with top spot and a home semi-final up for grabs in the Northern Conference.
Additionally, water-logging on the training pitches at Franklin’s Gardens mean all EPDG training has also been cancelled for this evening.
