Rugby News Manoa included for USA tour

USA have named Samu Manoa in a 33-man group to take on Georgia and Russia this November, the Eagles facing action in consecutive weeks on their European tour.

All three sides still harbour hopes of qualifying for Rugby World Cup 2015 and the Eagles will be using the matches as preparation for their Americas 2 play-off against Uruguay in March.

First up, Manoa and his teammates will travel to Tbilisi on November 16th, while their clash with a Bears side potentially including another Saint, Vasily Artemyev, will be hosted at Allianz Park in Barnet seven days later.

Manoa, who now has three caps to his name, last pulled on his country’s colours over the summer taking on Ireland in Las Vegas and later Canada in a Rugby World Cup qualifier in Charleston.

The squad includes a number of other Premiership campaigners and will tackle New Zealand Maori in Philadelphia ahead of the back-to-back Tests, a game that Manoa will not however travel for.
