Academy News Dual reg trio enjoy winning weekend
Three of the Saints’ six Academy loanees tasted victory on Saturday afternoon as they continued to get senior game time under their belts in the British and Irish Cup and lower leagues.
Having featured regularly for the first team in November, scrum-half Alex Day was back honing his trade at Moseley as they overcame Ealing 28-10 in the B&I Cup, prop Adam Parkins also making an appearance off the bench at Billesley Common.
In National League 2, Harry Morley was with Birmingham and Solihull for their victorious trip to Sheffield, though one step up the league ladder it was a frustrating afternoon for his fellow props Danny Herriott and Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi.
Both players started in games for Loughborough and Coventry respectively, the Students comfortably beaten 107-37 at Richmond and Cov edged out on home soil by Rosslyn Park.
Harry Betts also saw game time for Chinnor in their 15-20 loss at Taunton, while Lewis Hall made his return to action after injury for Chinnor's second team.
