Academy News Stephenson and Hobbs resume for England Under-20

The four Saints in England Under-20’s squad have retained their places for Friday’s trip to Scotland, the Junior World Champions looking to bounce back from the disappointment of an opening Six Nations defeat at the hands of France.

The duo are in the starting XV once more though, with Howard Packman on the bench having made his Under-20 debut in the opener as replacement. The Fourth Saint, Sam Olver, will be hoping for a chance to do the same at Netherdale on Friday evening.

“It was frustrating against France because we know that we could have caused them a few more problems, but it just wasn’t to be in that game,” head coach Nick Walshe commented. “We’ve got faith in the back-line to deliver this week and hopefully the forwards can create a platform and we can go out there and perform like I know we can.”

The game is being streamed live from 7:30pm at www.rfu.com.

Meanwhile, England Under-20’s first home game of the 2014 Six Nations will be the huge clash with Ireland, as they return to Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday, February 22nd. Over 8,000 packed the ground last year as Italy were seen off and with as many as five Saints potentially involved once more, you can book your tickets now by CLICKING HERE
