Club News Saints launch 2014/15 Season Tickets

Northampton Saints have today launched the club's Season Ticket packages for 2014/15, with supporters able to pay either in full or by direct debit instalments over 10 months.

The Saints have been one of the form teams in the Aviva Premiership this season, winning all bar one of their 16 matches and sitting first in the league table with less than a third of the campaign to go.

LV= Cup semi-finalists for a fourth time in five seasons, the Saints are also in the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter finals, with the second team Wanderers having reached the Aviva 'A' League final and the Under-18s lifting the Premiership Rugby Academies League title.

Over 8,500 supporters bought Season Tickets in 2013/14, and there has already been a large number of enquiries asking about packages for 2014/15.

The club is now in a position to confirm both the specific Season Ticket packages and how they can be booked by supporters.

After four successive years of frozen prices, the club's management has, after due consideration, decided to increase the price of a Season Ticket by 3 percent. Equivalent to less than a pound per game, this increase is expected to give the Saints the wherewithal to absorb the £500,000 rise in the salary cap while maintaining the club's long and proud record of financial independence and stability.

The 2014/15 Season Ticket package will continue to have a wide range of benefits, including:
16 SCHEDULED HOME MATCHES to be played in 2014/15, plus pre-season friendlies
MASSIVE SAVINGS compared to standard ticket prices
PRIORITY BOOKING for knockout matches, finals and season car park passes
WATCH ENGLAND AT TWICKENHAM by entering the members' only ticket ballot
FREE ENTRY into all home Wanderers and Academy matches
FREE MEMBERSHIP into the Saints Savers Club, saving you cash at a wide range of local businesses
DISCOUNTS at the Saints Superstore
FREE members' only year bar
FREE Bernie's Gang membership for Under-10s
STUBHUB ticket re-sale service if you can't make a game

Prices start from £163 for juniors, £174 for concessions and £289 for adults, with adult-and-junior packages offering additional value for families who want to watch the Saints together.

For the first time the club is giving supporters the ability to pre-order the team's all-new replica shirt, the design of which harks back to the early years of the club with its black, green and gold hoops. The 1st XV Club is also back for 2014/15, giving members the opportunity to get closer to the club through a series of exclusive events.

Both the new replica shirt and 1st XV Club membership can also be paid via 10 direct debit payments.

There are a number of ways that supporters can book their Season Tickets:

DIRECT DEBIT INSTALLMENT PLAN All Season Ticket Holders are being sent a direct debit form, which must be received by the Saints Ticket Office by the close of business on March 17th, 2014.

Supporters who wish to pay by direct debit can also telephone a special 24-hour hotline – 01604 559033 – also no later than close of business on March 17th.

The first payment will be taken on March 28th, 2014, with the subsequent nine payments being taken on the 15th day of each month. The last payment will be taken on December 15th, 2014.

Please note that supporters who paid for their Season Ticket by direct debit this season will have their Season Ticket automatically renewed unless they request otherwise. Full details are being sent to them directly.

ONLINE Season Ticket Holders who wish to pay in full now can do so via their online ticketing accounts. All current Season Ticket Holders have an online account which was automatically created for them at the start of the season, and log-in details and renewal instructions are included in their renewal packs.

Supporters who wish to become a Season Ticket Holder for the first time can also do so online; head to www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/buytickets, create an account and follow the straightforward instructions.

Saints chief executive Allan Robson says that the club was trying to give supporters as many options as possible to get behind the team in 2014/15.

“The direct debit payment option was very popular last season and it made perfect sense to continue it for 2014/15,” he commented. “Paying for Season Tickets in one lump sum can be prohibitive for some supporters, so having the ability to spread those payments over 10 months, interest-free, can enable them to continue supporting the team. This is why we have also made it possible to pre-order and spread payments for home match day replica shirts and a 1st XV Club membership as well.

“We hope that supporters understand why we have had to increase the cost of a Season Ticket after four years of frozen prices. We want to continue our record of increasing investment into the playing effort, but it is also vital that maintain our financial independence and sustainability.

“After careful deliberation, we felt it was unavoidable that the £500,000 rise in the salary cap, together with other continued increases in costs across the organisation, would mean a small rise in Season Ticket costs. On average it works out to less than £1 per game, but it will mean that supporters will be able to continue watching the world class players that we have in our squad.

“2014/15 promises to be an exciting season. Not only is there the prospect of seeing the team develop in the Aviva Premiership, LV= Cup and European competitions, but we will also be in the final year before the Rugby World Cup returns to these shores.

“There is no better time to be a part of Northampton Saints, and we hope that our loyal Season Ticket Holders will continue with us on our journey.”
