Club News Celebrate a memorable year at the 2014 End of Season Awards Dinner
There are still quite a few games to be played in 2013/14, not least this Sunday’s LV= Cup final, but already it has been a memorable campaign and one worthy of celebrating at the End of Season Awards Dinner.
Not only have the Saints reached a seventh cup final in as many seasons – continuing a run unparalleled at any point in the club’s history – but Franklin’s Gardens has also been the proving ground for players who are now household names thanks to their exploits on the international stage.
Luther Burrell’s three tries in four games have helped England win the Triple Crown for the first time in 11 years, with Dylan Hartley, Lee Dickson, Courtney Lawes and Tom Wood all winning plenty of plaudits for their performances in the England shirt. Meanwhile George North has continued to star for Wales, and in all 14 players have represented half-a-dozen different countries.
The Saints has also won praise from all quarters for its performances in all competitions, and as well as reaching the LV= Cup final the team is well placed at the top of the Aviva Premiership table and in the quarter finals of the Amlin Challenge Cup, having come out of the Heineken Cup’s group of death.
Meanwhile the Wanderers reached the Aviva ‘A’ League final and the Under-18s won the Premiership Rugby Academies League title for the first time.
So it is no surprise that already over 400 places have been booked at the End of Season Awards Dinner, which will once again be held in a special marquee on the main pitch at Franklin’s Gardens on Monday, May 19th, 2014.
The black tie event will celebrate the season as a whole, including the handing out of the Supporters’ Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Try of the Season awards, along with the traditional caps and cufflinks which mark a player’s 50, 100 and 200 appearances in the first team.
Places are available to book now for £120 + VAT per person by either calling 01604 599115 or emailing email@example.com
