Four players from Franklin's Gardens are heading to New Zealand this summer as part of the England Under-20 Junior World Championships squad.

All four - prop Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi, centre Tom Stephenson, fly half Sam Olver and wing Howard Packman - featured in England Under-20s' Six Nations campaign earlier in the year, and the quartet have all seen action in the Saints first team during the season.

Hobbs-Awoyemi and Stephenson already have Junior World Championship winners' medals in their collection, having helped England win the tournament for the first time in 2013.

With four Saints in the squad the club has the joint-highest representation of any of the Aviva Premiership outfits.

“We’re pleased with the balance and experience in this squad," said England Under-20 head coach Nick Walshe, "and we are confident that they will perform well in each of our five matches.

“While England U20 are the holders of the trophy, this group hasn’t won anything – we enjoyed a successful Six Nations, and while it was disappointing not to win it, as a group we came on hugely. The key is to keep building on that momentum.”
