Saints players were involved in four more wins as their National League seasons came to a close on Saturday afternoon, all on home soil.
Moseley ensured an impressive seventh place finish in the Championship, pipping Plymouth both on the afternoon and in the league standings with a 16-11 victory. Billesley Common regular Will Hooley started the game and was joined by Alex Day and Adam Parkins as Kevin Maggs’ side came back from a 0-11 deficit at the break.
It was a more straightforward afternoon for Coventry and prop Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi as they surged past Hull Ionians with 10 tries in a 67-14 result to sew up third spot in National League 1.
Towards the other end of the table, a Loughborough Students squad including Danny Herriott secured their status in English rugby’s third tier with an impressive 29-10 win over Blaydon and in National League 2 South, Chinnor also stayed up.
Their 32-12 defeat of rock-bottom Exmouth included appearances for both Lewis Hall and Harry Betts.
Cambridge, who had Sam Harry among their replacements, lost 20-19 at home to Redruth but were already comfortably in mid-table before the Round 30 tie.
