Academy News Packman, Hobbs get semi-final call for England U20

Howard Packman and Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi will have the opportunity to help England Under-20 reach a third Junior World Championship final in four years this weekend.

The Senior Academy pair have been named on the wing and in the front row respectively for Sunday's semi-final against Ireland. Packman scored against the Irish at Franklin's Gardens in the Under-20 Six Nations in February and moves from full back, where he played against Australia.

Fly half Sam Olver is also in the match day squad after having been chosen among the replacements.

England were three from three in the pool stage with wins against Italy, Australia and Argentina and will be hoping to reach their third final in four years.

Sunday's game against Ireland is being shown live from the QBE Stadium in North Harbour on Sky Sports from 6:05am.
