Club News ILG roll out Elite Sports App to the Saints
Saints players and coaches will be at the cutting edge in 2014/15 after the club’s playing department announced a new partnership with ILG Business, utilising the Elite Sports App.
Used by professional sports clubs around the world, the Elite Sports App was developed for clubs and teams that wish to use advanced technology to enhance their processes and in turn improve performance and substantial gains.
Designed to improve a club’s day-to-day processes, the application allows the coaches to distribute training programs, videos and schedules for players to follow, encompassing all essential elements of training and match play. This gives players direct access to all their training material, documents and schedules at all times as opposed to just during training and matches as previous methods restricted.
With an aim to provide synchronisation between the players and coaches, the ILG Elite Sports app ensures that all vital communications are available and accessible to players through their mobile devices.
Ross Appleton, head of analysis at the Saints, believes the new partnership will prove highly beneficial to the entire playing department.
“Having the ILG app available for the lads is excellent,” he commented. “It gives them everything they need at their fingertips - whether it’s analysis clips, their weekly schedule or even the ability to be contacted directly by any department at the club.
"It will be a good tool for the coaches and back room staff here at the Gardens too. We are looking forward to working alongside ILG to develop it further for the needs of the squad and management."
