Rugby News Digger’s Decade ‘All Star Reunion’ taking over the Gardens
The last weekend of August will see a collection of former Saints stars take to the Franklin’s Gardens pitch once more in the Digger’s Decade Testimonial Match.
Paul Diggin’s testimonial year has been celebrating the career of the Northampton-born-and-bred winger, who retired from first team rugby at the end of the 2013/14 season after 148 appearances in the black, green and gold.
But Diggin will be back out on the Gardens surface on Sunday, August 31st, along with players including Tom Smith, Budge Pountney, Grant Seely, Matt Allen, Jon Phillips, Darren Fox, Robbie Morris, Johnny Howard and Mark Hopley, and many others!
Kick off will be 3pm, with the suggested entry being £10 for adults and £1 for juniors, payable on the gate. Car parks A, B and C will be open for public car parking from 12noon, with food and drink available in the Village and Rodber Suite.
Digger’s Decade is supporting Niamh’s Next Step, which raises money for research and awareness about Neuroblastoma, a rare and agressive form of cancer which mainly affects children.
