Northampton-born Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi is a Saintsman through and through.
He began his rugby career at Northampton Casuals in 1998 at four years of age, before moving on to Wellingborough in 2006 and eventually the Saints Junior Academy at 16.
After a dual registration spell in National League One with Coventry, Hobbs-Awoyemi made two appearances in LV= victories against Newport Gwent Dragons and Sale Sharks in the 2013/14 season.
Danny has gone through the ranks of English rugby, too, first selected for the England Under-17 side against France and Scotland in 2011.
He was an important part of the 2013 and 2014 Under-20 sides who lifted back-to-back Junior World Championships in France and New Zealand, picking up a try in the 2014 semi-final against Ireland.
A long list of quality, English loose heads call Franklin’s Gardens home but with Alex Waller joining Alex Corbisiero on the international radar, this season could well be a season for Danny to step up just as Ethan Waller did last.
