The game will be England Under-20s' first at the Gardens in six years. That night England's team included the likes of Danny Care, Dave Attwood - both of whom who went on to be full England internationals - and Dom Waldouck, who of course is now starring for the Saints' first team.

Hoping to follow in Waldouck's footsteps is Tom Stephenson, who was this week named in Rob Hunter's squad along with fellow Senior Academy players Tom Collins, Will Hooley and Alex Day, and the centre is hoping that the Northampton public will come out in force to support England's future.

"It would be great to play at Franklin's Gardens for England, and hopefully the game will get a big crowd," the centre said. "There is always competition for places, but hopefully I can get a place in the team and run out on my home ground.

"There are a lot of Saints players in the squad and it's always good to have the boys around. We're a tight knit group and will be looking forward to the game at Franklin's Gardens in particular."
