Swann is one of the world's best bowlers and last November became the most prolific spinner in the history of the England national team. In 2009 he was the first England player to take 50 test wickets in a calendar year, and in 2010 became the first England bowler to take 10 wickets in one match in over 50 years, a feat which helped earn him the accolade as ECB Cricketer of the Year and a place on the shortlist for World Cricketer of the Year.
He currently has 212 wickets to his name, and comes to Franklin's Gardens on the back of England's historic test series win in India, their first on the sub-continent in over 20 years.
An accomplished one-day player, Swann helped England win the 2010 World Twenty20 title and a year later was ranked the world's top one-day bowler.
2013 is also an Ashes year, and after having helped England win back-to-back series against Australia there is no one better than Swann to preview what will be another massive summer of cricket.
Swann is also one of the England team's biggest characters, and his double act with chairman of selectors Geoff Miller will live long in the memory!
