If you're going to go down, go down fighting. A spirited Saints side did just that in their first Aviva Premiership Final before finally succumbing to a Leicester team who eventually made the most of a 40-minute spell with an extra man at Twickenham.

There are lies, damned lies and statistics. Having already done so in their semi-final at Saracens, the Saints will be hoping to make a liar of the numbers when they face Leicester in the Aviva Premiership Final this Saturday - the biggest derby in the 133-year history of both sides.

The Saints have booked themselves a place at Twickenham for the 2013 Aviva Premiership Rugby Final. They did by ending Saracens' unbeaten home record in some style, outscoring the hosts three tries to one, with Brian Mujati, Jamie Elliott and GJ Van Velze all crossing the whitewash. Stephen Myler kicked the remaining 12 points.

Travelling to the home of table topping Saracens is challenging enough, but the Saints also face the prospect of a first competitive fixture on artificial 4G turf in the club's history at Allianz Park for Sunday's Aviva Premiership semi-final.
