Plan your journey for Saints v Bath

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Saturday is expected to be a busy day in west Northampton and supporters are strongly advised to allow plenty of time for their journeys to and from Franklin’s Gardens.

The Saints’ Aviva Premiership game against Bath – their final home match of the season and one that is crucial in the battle for European Rugby Champions Cup qualification – has been chosen for live broadcast by BT Sport and kicks off at 3:15pm.

Meanwhile at Sixfields Northampton Town will be entertaining Luton Town in their final home League Two match of the season, the first since they confirmed their promotion as the division champions. This match kicks off at 3pm.

With over 22,000 supporters expected at the two stadiums traffic is expected to be heavy on the approaches to St James, Upton, Sixfields and the surrounding areas. So regardless of whether you are coming to the games or just using Weedon Road as one of the main exit routes in and out of Northampton town centre, allow additional time for your journeys. This will be especially true after the game.

The Village at Franklin’s Gardens and car parks open at 12noon, with the main stadium opening at 1pm. Food and drink outlets will be open throughout the day, with live music post-match in the Rodber Suite and the Saints Supporters Club presenting their Player of the Year award.

It will also be supporters’ last chance to thank those players who are leaving the club at the end of the season.

Saints Season Ticket Holders who travel from Rugby, Long Buckby, Wolverton, Milton Keynes, Bletchley and Leighton Buzzard can make the most of a 50 percent discount on their match day travel on London Midland trains. Simply take your Season Card to any manned ticket office either on the day or in advance to claim this special offer! Visit www.londonmidland.com for train timetables.

Supporters who are driving to Franklin’s Gardens are encouraged to use the Saints’ official club car parks on Edgar Mobbs Way – directions at www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/matchday - and where they choose not to use these car parks then they must park with due care for the needs of local residents and businesses.

Match tickets remain available at www.tinyurl.com/SAI-BAT-1516 and by using Print@Home supporters can save themselves the admin fees and beat match day queues.
