Why Saturday matters in the Aviva Premiership

This Saturday’s Aviva Premiership clash with Bath is an important match on a number of levels.

With two rounds to go the chase for the top six and the European Rugby Champions Cup spot that comes with it looks set to go down to the wire.

The Saints go into Round 21 with 52 league points to their name. But despite not playing this past weekend they slipped a place in the table thanks to Sale’s two late tries as they caught up their game in hand at Bath.

Those scores earned Sale two bonus points and took the Sharks into fifth place with 53 points.

Meanwhile the Saints also have Harlequins breathing down their necks, with the European Rugby Challenge Cup finalists on 50 points. Gloucester are still also in the mix with 45 points.

The Cherry and Whites travel to the AJ Bell Stadium to face Sale on Friday night, with Harlequins heading to London Irish on Saturday.

But things are very much in the Saints’ hands, provided they keep winning! And this is where you come in, because every voice will matter at Franklin’s Gardens!

Tickets are on sale now at www.tinyurl.com/SAI-BAT-1516 and by using Print@Home supporters can beat the match day queues and save the admin fees. Groups of seats are available in the Barwell Stand, with places also available in a number of other areas of Franklin’s Gardens.
