It was another busy weekend for Saints boys with seven stars from Frankin’s Gardens in action for their countries on Saturday.

Dylan Hartley captained England to a 3-0 series whitewash over Australia following their 44-40 win over the Wallabies in Sydney, with Teimana Harrison, Courtney Lawes and Paul Hill also taking to the field.

At under-20 level Harry Mallinder captained England as they won the Under 20 World Championship in Salford, with the young Saint scoring two tries in a 45-21 victory in a man-of-the-match performance.

Back in the southern hemisphere, Campese Ma’afu was part of Fiji’s match day squad as they suffered a 17-3 defeat at home to Georgia in Suva as the visitors remained unbeaten on their three-Test tour of the Pacific Islands.

In South America, new signing Louis Picamoles started for France as they prevented Argentina from scoring a single point in a 27-0 victory over the Pumas in Tucumán.

These matches brought the summer of international rugby to a close and the countdown to the new Premiership is now on, with the Saints internationals set to return to the club in the coming weeks to begin preparations for the forthcoming campaign.
