Get into the Mo Zone next Friday night

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

Friday night’s Aviva Premiership clash with Gloucester marks the official start of the Saints’ Movember campaign, and there will be loads going on at Franklin’s Gardens to help raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues.

For one night only the Match Day Village will become the Mo Zone, with loads of fun, games, activities and awareness about this important campaign that encompasses male-specific cancers and diseases, mental health and suicide prevention.

Here in the UK the November Foundation has funded research and programmes related to prostate cancer, genetic research into the causes of testicular cancer, community support initiatives, education and awareness campaigns, and MOVE Like A Pro, which the Saints runs in conjunction with Premiership Rugby to get severely overweight men more active and to lead healthier lives, cutting down the risks of obesity-related diseases such as type-2 diabetes in the process.

Saints supporters have made a massive contribution to this fund raising over the past few years, bringing in hundreds of thousands of pounds. You don’t have to grow a mo yourself, just donate at moteam.co/northampton-saints to support the Saints’ team.

Once again the Mini Mo Bros, led by William Heath - whose efforts saw him short-listed for a Radio 1 Teen Hero award - will be bucket shaking at Franklin’s Gardens ahead of the Gloucester game, and special merchandise will be available, including Mini Mo Bro hats and t-shirts. The Mini Mo Bros also have a signed, framed England shirt that will be the prize in a silent auction that will be running throughout November.

You can check out your own mo style at the Halos selfie station and have your face painted (donations welcome!) and see how MOVE Like A Pro has changed the lives of the men who have taken part here at Franklin’s Gardens.

But if you do want to start your own mo then we’ll have some special barbers on hand from Mister Robinson’s Barbershop to give you a shave you won’t forget!

Help change the face of men’s health at Franklin’s Gardens and keep the Saints ahead of the game! Get your match tickets now at www.tinyurl.com/SAI-GLO-1617 and use Print@Home to beat the match day queues and save the admin fees.

Every junior ticket booked goes into a draw to be a Saints team mascot later in the season, with a donation made to November from each junior ticket, too!
