Supporter’s guide to Stade Pierre-Antoine

Travis PerkinsSponsored by Travis Perkins

With Saints heading to Castre Olympique for the second pool game of the European Champions Cup on Saturday, here’s everything you need to know about Castres as a travelling fan.

Castres’ tourism office have provided Saints supporters with the chance to go on a guided tour of the French town at 11am on the day of the game as well as extra information such as taxi company numbers, maps of attractions and the location of bars and restaurants in Castres. All this information can be found here.

TICKETING

Please be sure to arrive at the Stade Pierre-Antoine with plenty of time to avoid queues.

Most travelling supporters will have already secured their tickets but there are limited numbers still available for purchase through the Castres website if you have yet to buy yours. Find them online here.

TRAVEL

Getting to Castres, if you are not on an organised trip, is probably easiest on the train. The Gare de Castres is located on Avenue Albert 1er, around one and a half kilometres to the Southwest of the City Centre and three kilometres from the stadium. Although not served by high-speed rail, there are direct trains to Toulouse taking just over 1 hour.

The Stade Pierre-Antoine sits a kilometre and a half outside the centre of Castres so make sure you leave enough time to get to the ground.

The stadium is also not on any obvious bus routes or tram lines so supporters will have to get to the stadium on foot or in a taxi unless on a club organised trip. The ground sits a six-minute drive or a 17-minute walk away from the centre of the town. Again, please ensure you leave enough time to get to the ground if travelling alone.

If on a club organised trip, then the coach will pick you up from your hotel and take you directly to the ground in sufficient time to soak up the atmosphere.
