Wasps vs Northampton Saints

Umaga can't find touch and Tuala returns it but can't find touch himself. Wasps come forwards but Ludlam gets over the ball to earn Saints the penalty there.

Wasps are pushing but Saints' defence is holding firm and the clock runs into the red as Wasps are awarded a penalty at the breakdown.

Isiekwe claims the lineout and Saints look to maul forwards. James whips the ball out but Hutchinson can't keep a hold of it and Wasps play on. 

Penalty Saints at the scrum! It's a huge effort from the forwards and Grayson sends the ball into the corner.

Tuala gets over the ball but is deemed to have knocked on and Wasps have the scrum on halfway. 

Ribbans is up for the lineout and Saints maul over the halfway line. Haywood breaks off but his offload finds Wasps hands and they play on.

A huge shove from Saint and they earn the penalty there for their efforts. Grayson sends it to touch for a lineout on halfway.

Wasps look to come wide right but the final pass doesn't go to hand and Saints will have the scrum this time.

Sleightholme counter-rucks hard but the referee deems Saints to have knocked on on the floor and Wasps have the scrum. 

Vellacott boxes high but the ball is deemed to have come forwards off Tuala and Wasps have the scrum. 

Penalty Wasps at the breakdown but Atkinson can't find touch. Grayson returns with interest and Wasps have the lineout back near their own 22. 

James boxes high and Freeman is in chase. Atkinson just gets there first though and Umaga clears. Tuala gets under it and he charges forwards.

Vellacott boxes off the restart and Freeman is there. Saints play on.

Wasps whip the ball wide and work their way into Saints' 22.

Vellacott boxes again and Wood is there to claim it but Wasps get over the ball again and Umaga sends the ball to touch. 

We restart with a scrum to Wasps then and Wasps push into Saints' half off the back of it. Vellacott boxes but Franics charges it down and collects the ball too. Grayson sends the ball long but Umaga is there and Wasps play on once more.

It'll be a HIA for Franks and Hill re-enters the game. James and Tuala also take to the field, with Mitchell and Naiyaravoro making way.

Mitchell boxes high and Umaga is there but as play heads towards an injured Franks we pause the game.

Wasps send the ball high and Freeman is there to collect once more. Saints whip it wide the other way to Naiyaravoro and Saints push on again.

Van Wyk replaces Waller as we get restarted.

Penalty Wasps as Saints a penalised for not releasing and Umaga points to the posts. 

Wasps manage to intercept off the back of the lineout and push themselves back into Saints' half.

Wasps maul forwards but Saints work hard to push them into touch and earn a lineout of their own.

Matavesi, Hill and Adendorff make way for Saints as we set the lineout; Haywood, Franks and Wood enter the game. 

Naiyaravoro charges forwards off the lineout but Wasps get over the ball and earn a penalty. Atkinson sends the ball to touch for a lineout back near halfway.

Francis breaks free with Freeman on his shoulder but when the ball comes loose, we come back to a penalty in the build up. Grayson sends the ball into the corner. 

Another good shove from Saints but Wasps manage to get the ball away. Atkinson sends the ball high and Grayson is there to collect. Freeman charges forwards and Saint push on again.

Hutchinson breaks through and Isiekwe charges down the right wing and up into the Wasps' 22. But there's a forward pass there and Wasps will have the scrum.

Adendorff charges up to the halfway line after the ball heads back Saints way and they have a penalty advantage coming as they come forwards too. 

Coles is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards before Mitchell breaks off down the short side. Sleightholme is with him and the winger hacks it through to chase himself. Miller just gets there first though and dots down over the line. 22 drop Wasps.

Scrappy at the lineout for Wasps and the ball comes forwards off them. Scrum Saints.

Ribbans takes the lineout and Saints look to maul but Mitchell is forced to box high. Sleightholme gets over the ball there but he's penalised and Atkinson sends the ball into the corner again.

Brilliant defensive work from Saints and Ludlam gets over the ball to earn a penalty for his side. Grayson sends the penalty into touch for a lineout back near halfway.

Penalty for Wasps as Saints are found offside and the home side go quickly. They're up to the Saints' five metre line now and pushing.

Another lineout in Saints' 22 for Wasps then and the home side look to maul. Saints hold them well and Wolstenholme is forced to use the ball. 

Matavesi strips the ball in a tackle and it comes back to Grayson to send long. Miller is there and Wasps play on.

Ludlam disrupt the maul but Ribbans is penalised there and Atkinson sends the ball into touch for a lineout inside Saints' 22. 

Saints push up but Adendorff is bundled into touch out wide as he looks to come forwards. Lineout Wasps.

Gaskell claims the restart and Wolstenholme boxes high. Freeman is there and Saints play on. 

A good shove from Saints but the penalty goes Wasps' way. Atkinson sends it to touch for a lineout in Saints' 22. 

Ribbans rises to take the restart and Freeman breaks free off the back of it. He finds Matavesi and the ball quickly comes wide but Naiyaravoro can't keep a hold of the ball and it heads forwards into touch. Wasps choose the scrum option.

Atkinson gets things restarted here at the Ricoh.

Wasps think they've made it over the whitewash but we're with the TMO to see if there's a knock on there.

Wasps continue to push and are closing in on the try line now.

The clock is red as we set the lineout and Wasps go short at the lineout to maul it forwards but it comes down short of the line.

Scrappy at the lineout but Wasps manage to keep a hand on it. They push with the final play of the half.

Miller chips over the top but Mitchell is there and he finds Sleightholme before the scrum-half boxes again. But the TMO intervenes with a penalty against Saints and Atkinson sends the ball into touch for a lineout insides Saints' 22. 

Francis charges forwards off the back of the scrum and sets up the breakdown for Mitchell to box long. Miller is there and Wasps look to attack from there.

Excellent maul defence from Saints and Wasps knock the ball on there. Scrum Saints.

Gopperth sends the penalty into the corner for a lineout there as Brookes returns from the sin bin.

Ribbans is up for the lineout again and Saints maul forwards once more...

Naiyaravoro charges forwards down the left and Saints earn a penalty there too. Grayson sends it into the corner. 

Wasps knock on contact and Matavesi jumps on the loose ball. Grayson attempts to find Naiyaravoro with a cross field kick but the ball finds Wasps hands. But Saints turn the ball over just two phases later and are pushing once again.

Grayson takes the restart and clears long but Wasps use it quickly and push on the halfway line.

Ribbans takes the lineout and Saints maul forwards at some pace, it's rumbling towards the line...

Grayson send the resulting penalty into touch for another lineout on Wasps' 22. 

Advantage coming to Saints this time and eventually we come back for it. We're with the TMO to see if the tackle off the ball that earned the penalty is foul play.

The ball heads over the lineout though and Oghre collects it for Wasps. They push up before Wolstenholme boxes high. Freeman is there are Saints play on. 

Grayson sends the resulting penalty into touch for a lineout on Wasps' 22. 

Gopperth and Atkinson push Wasps back into Saints' half off the lineout and Wasps have an advantage coming which we come back for eventually. But the TMO intervenes with potential foul play against Wasps.

No conversion from Grayson out side but Saints push from the lineout. Mitchell eventually boxes clear and Wasps will have the lineout back at halfway.

Freeman, Hutchinson and Sleightholme races forwards as the ball comes wide off the lineout. Saints think they've scored through Adendorff and we're with the TMO to see if they have...

The home side are held up over the line again and this time it's a scrum to Wasps.

Another tap and go from Wasps and they push towards the line again. 

Wasps tap the penalty and use it quickly. They're up to Saints' five metre line again. There's another penalty coming as Saints are found offside and we come back for it when Wasps' drive is held up over the line again.

Wasps maul close but are held up and we come back for the penalty in the build up. 

Wasps keep the lineout and have another advantage coming as they work up to the five metre line. 

Wasps use the ball quickly off the lineout and push into Saints' 22 as the ball comes out wide. Wasps push but with an advantage coming when an offload finds Mitchell's hands, we come back for it. Gopperth sends it to the corner.

Freeman takes the restart and Saints push up with the forwards before Mitchell clears. Lineout Wasps.

Ribbans claims the lineout and Saints look to maul before Matavesi peels off to push Saints' over the 22 again. And Saints earn a penalty at the breakdown a few phases later when Wasps are found on the wrong side of the ruck. Grayson points to the posts.

Moon challenges at the lineout but Wasps manage to keep a hand on it. Saints pressure well off the back of the set piece and eventually Wasps knock the ball on at the breakdown. Scrum Saints.

Atkinson looks to clear off the back of the lineout but his kick heads straight out and Saints will have the lineout on Wasps' 22 this time. 

Mitchell almost sets Freeman free but the fullback is just caught by his Wasps counterpart. The ball comes back the other way to Sleightholme who pushes forwards but he's isolated and Wasps earn a penalty at the breakdown there. Atkinson sends it to touch for a lineout outside Wasps' 22.

Ribbans takes the lineout and Saints use the ball quickly off the back of it. Naiyaravoro takes things into Wasps' 22 and Saints continue to push. 

Wolstenholme returns the kick-off and Hutchinson sets Naiyaravoro free down the left to get Saints going. The away side push but the ball comes loose and heads into touch off Wasps hands. Lineout Saints.
