Northampton Saints vs Wasps

Time is up here at the Gardens and Ribbans takes the lineout. Saints earn a penalty and Grayson sends it to the corner again. 

Penalty Saints at the breakdown again. Grayson sends it to the corner. 

Saints get within a finger tip's reach of the line but we come back for the penalty. Saints choose the scrum. 

Saints are close now and have an advantage coming too. 

Wasps clear the restart and Saints play on. They're up to Wasps' 22 now.

Wasps secure the lineout though and come forwards. Oghre gets them into Saints' 22 and they keep coming.

No conversion from Grayson out wide but Naiyaravoro is on the restart again. Saints push out of the 22 quickly and Taylor sends the ball up. It comes off Wasps hands and into touch. Lineout Saints near halfway.

Clement sends the ball high and Naiyaravoro is there. He steams forwards, leaving defenders in his way before shipping the ball out wide. Hutchinson and Dingwall are there and the latter is over the line. We're just with the TMO to see if he's in touch...

Wasps secure the lineout and inch forward. They're up to Saints' five metre line now. 

Two changes for Saints and two debuts; Tonks and J Mitchell enter the pitch for their first Saints appearances while Wood and Taylor make way. 

Wasps earn a penalty at the breakdown and Le Bourgeois sends it into the corner. 

Saints are steaming forwards, Naiyaravoro breaks down the right and has Collins inside him. But the offload comes forwards off a stray Wasps hand. We're with the TMO to see if it's foul play...

Turnover just after the lineout for Saints and the home side come forwards.

Free kick Saints at the scrum as Wasps take too long to get the ball in. Grayson sends it long. Lineout Wasps on halfway. 

Two more changes for Saints: Van Vuuren and Hill enter play as Fish and Painter leave the field

Solid scrum from Saints and it comes wide quickly but Naiyaravoro can't quite keep his hands on the ball. Scrum Wasps.

Knock on Wasps at the lineout and Saints have the scrum. 

Wasps play on from the lineout before chipping through. Lineout Saints but in their own 22. 

Penalty for Wasps at the restart and Umaga sends it downfield for a lineout inside Saints' half.

Two changes for Saints: captain Waller is replaced by Franks, while returning Symons makes way for Dingwall.

No conversion for Umaga again and Grayson gets us restart again.

Scrum Wasps and they use the ball quickly. They're up to Saints' 22 now and pushing still.

Advantage coming for Wasps and we come back for it.

Wasps press Saints' line before Wolstenholme sends a chip through. Hutchinson is back for it and he clears long. Lineout Wasps back at the halfway line. 

Change for Saints: Bean makes way for club skipper Harrison as we get back underway.

Penalty Wasps at the scrum and Umaga sends it downfield. Lineout Wasps back near halfway.

Saints collect the lineout and push again but knock on and Wasps have the scrum. 

We come back for the penalty, Grayson sends it to the corner again.

Saints maul forwards at the scrum and have an advantage coming if they need it.

Saints get the ball away quickly and it's to Collins and Olowofela out wide at lightning pace. They work up to Wasps' 22 and with an advantage coming for Saints we come back for it. Grayson sends the ball into the corner. 

Now back to full strength as Naiyaravoro re-enters play, Saints pressure well at the lineout and though Wasps keep the ball, they knock on just after and Saints have the scrum. 

Saints come forwards from the restart with some more following play but the ball just comes forwards and Wasps have the scrum near halfway. 

Saints are well inside Wasps' half now and Grayson sends the ball up high. Le Bourgeios just wins the race to the ball.

No conversion from Umaga and Wasps clear the restart quickly. Collins is there and he comes forwards.

Wasps push from the restart and Umaga works through a gap into Saints' 22 but Grayson gets to him before he goes further. The away side push further forwards and earn penalty at the breakdown. They go quickly...

One change for Wasps at the break: Watson is replaced by James.

Grayson gets things back underway here at the Gardens; Saints still a man down but a point ahead as we get re-started.

Two tries a piece so far at the Gardens with Grayson's penalty providing the one-point difference between the two sides. Plenty of rugby still to follow in the second forty.

Taylor sends the ball skywards again and Bassett is there to collect. Wasps play on. They come forwards and Le Bourgeois breaks but Taylor is there for make the covering tackle. Wasps keep the ball though and play on again.

Odogwu comes forwards off the lineup but Olowofela claims the loose ball and Saints play on.

Coles taps the lineout to Taylor and Saints are away again. They're pushing on halfway but concede at the breakdown and Umaga sends it to touch. Lineout Wasps.

Saints keep scrapping at the breakdown though and eventually the reward comes in the form of a penalty. Grayson sends it downfield for a lineout inside Wasps' half.

Penalty Wasps at the breakdown though and Wasps go quickly. They're back up to Saints' 22 now.

Good from Saints at the scrum and it comes wide quickly. Collins and Olowofela team up to get play back to halfway and Saints keep coming.

Change for Saints: Sleightholme leaves the field, with Olowofela taking his place.

Saints work hard to the maul and earn the turnover and so the scrum. 

Penalty Wasps at the resulting lineout and Usage sends it into the corner again.

Advantage coming for Wasps as they push closer to the line. Saints defend well but we come back for it.

Eadie collects the lineout and Taylor clears again. Watson collects once more and Wasps play on.

Saints whip the ball to Symons from the scrum who works away from the try line. Saints keep pushing before Taylor sends the ball up. Watson collects and Sleightholme is there again. Wasps chip through and Saints will have the lineout on their own five metre line.

Wasps try to maul but Saints hold them up and earn the turnover. Scrum Saints.

Wolstenholme tries a cross field to Watson but with an advantage coming for Wasps, we come back for the penalty. Umaga sends it into the corner. 

Wasps come off the lineout quickly and Bassett gets close but Saints hold them out. They're push around the five metre now.

Wasps have to use the ball quickly at the scrum again as Saints get a good shove on. They clear and Sleightholme chases back before clearing himself. Lineout Wasps in Saints' 22. 

Taylor sends the ball skyward from the restart and though Watson is there, Sleightholme earns his second turn over of the afternoon. Grayson sends it long but it just goes dead. Scrum Wasps back near halfway.

Penalty Saints at the scrum again! And Grayson points to the sticks.

Bean takes the lineout and Saints come forwards hard. But as the come inside there's a knock on and Wasps have the scrum.

Saints pressure well and eventually get the turnover. They look to whip it wide but Wasps knock on in the air. Scrum Saints.

No conversion from the touchline for Grayson but Saints come forwards off the restart. Taylor boxes but Wasps hands get there first.

Ribbans is up for the lineout and Saints come wide. Sleightholme gallops down the right before it comes back inside. Ribbans gets play up to the five metre and Saints keep coming. 

Penalty Saints as Sleigtholme and Painter team up for the turn over and Grayson sends it downfield for a Saints lineout inside Wasps' half.

Bassett gets up to tap the restart back into Wasps hands and the away side play on.

Grayson's conversion comes off the posts but Saints are up and running!

Wood is up for the lineout and Saints maul forwards...

Wasps box the ball clear from the lineout and Saints come forwards again.

Wasps collect the restart and box it clear. Collins collects before feeding Sleightholme. The wing speeds into Wasps' half before finding Symons on his shoulder. The returning Saints centre tries to offload to Dingwall but his pass heads into touch. Lineout Wasps.

Wasps whip the ball wide off the scrum but some great defence from Naiyaravoro forces the turn over. Saints look to come forwards but a knock on comes for them and Wasps have the scrum again.

Wolstenholme is nearly through for Wasps but with another advantage coming we come back for another Wasps penalty. They opt for the scrum.

Wasps secure the lineout but Saints work at the maul to push them back. Wasps still have the ball and keep pushing.

Wasps have the advantage coming and are within inches now but we come back for the penalty. Umaga sends it to the corner.

Wasps use the ball quickly at the scrum and work with way up for Saints' five metre line.

Spink breaks through for Wasps and makes it into Saints' 22 before a brilliant tap tackle from Eadie brings him down. But the ball collides with referee Michael Hudson and Wasps have the scrum. 

Wood breaks over halfway but there the ball comes loose and Wasps collect. They push forwards.

Ribbans gets up to collect the kick-off and Saints immediately earn a penalty there. Grayson sends it down field and the home side have the lineout just inside Wasps' half.
